Georgian Bay, ON
| 2005
Located far out into the Georgian Bay archipelago, this off-the-grid cottage, built in 2004, employed early-generation solar panels to provide power for lighting and pumps, while propane powered the refrigerator, cooktop and stove. Oriented along an east-west longitudinal axis, the rooftop was positioned to accommodate future solar panels as they became more viable.
