Sherbourne House

Toronto, ON

| 2015

Late 19th-century Victorian detailing distinguishes both the interior and exterior of this mid-Toronto home. Flat black painted trimwork pops against the red brick, an original locally sourced material manufactured just a few miles south at the brickyards north of Greenwood Avenue in Toronto. The ground floor has been opened to accommodate early 21st-century lifestyles, while the intricate plasterwork is preserved and painted white to accentuate its detail in shadow. A polished steel column adds delight to the main living area.
