Georgian Bay, ON
| 2004
Heavy-timber Douglas fir structural bays frame triple-glazed window doors for most of the main living area of this seasonal cottage on Georgian Bay, Ontario. The granite bedrock is delicately blended into the surrounding decking, allowing the owners to walk around barefoot with ease, on and of the deck and rock, seamlessly. The fireplace and chimney component were constructed from rubble stones found on the island. The standing seam metal roof provides a durable canopy above.
